Saturday eclipse II

22:40pm and it's becoming obvious that the uppermost edge of the moon is going to skip the shadow.

I was looking at the eclipse through a pair of binoculars, and the camera really cannot reproduce that view. Could be limitation of the CCD, or it could be I need better optics. Still, this one wasn't so bad.

Had found myself a better position than when I took the previous photo, outdoors, and occasional passers-by were wondering what the heck I was doing. Apparently such eclipses aren't entirely obvious unless you've been told about them. I told them about the eclipse, and suddenly my standing there on the side of a hill at the side of the road with a camera on a tripod wasn't so abnormal after all.
